The Capital of the Empire

In the fantasy novel "The Submerged Fire" the story takes place in Gondrilburg, the capital of the great empire of Gondril. The vast city is pierced by waterfalls and canals that wind their way down through the different levels of the city and around its houses, edifices, and bridges. I instructed an AI to give an idea of what the city might look like. Here's the answer.

In the top image, smaller waterfalls find their way around some worn-down houses in the sparsely populated western outskirts of the city. The lower picture shows one of the canals in the densely built-up Midfall Islands between the upper and lower waterfalls.
